Slavko Kacunko, Ph. D. was born in Croatia in 1964 and lives currently in Dusseldorf, Germany. He has garnered a number of awards and honors for his research in art history, and in particular on the subject of video art. He has published numerous articles on art and media theory and teaches at the Art Academy, D¸sseldorf; Goethe-University, Frankfurt; Multimedia Center/Goethe Institut, Zagreb; Soros Foundation, Sarajevo. His dissertation focused on the work of Marcel Odenbach and he is now completing research for a book on closed circuit video installations.
