Mary Anne Stanisziewski, Ph.D., is a cultural critic and historian and is an electronic arts historian at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Her books include Believing Is Seeing: Creating the Culture of Art (Penguin USA, 1995), The Power of Display: A History of Exhibition Installations at the Museum of Modern Art (MIT Press, 1998), and the forthcoming The Lens of Culture: Art, Money, Politics, the Internet, and Everyday Life. She is also the editor of the forthcoming book Endurance.
